STELLA TÄHTINEN

Praised for her expressive performances and the silvery beauty of her voice, Finnish soprano Stella Tähtinen has recently graduated from the Sibelius Academy Opera School, Helsinki with a Master of Music in Opera. Prior to this Tähtinen studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, England where she graduated from with a First Class Bachelor of Music with Honours degree in 2018.
Most recently Tähtinen made her role debut as Adele (Die Fledermaus) with Sataooppera and portrayed Yulia/Berehniya in Uljas Pulkkis’ opera All the Truths We Cannot See: A Chernobyl Story, which had its world premieres both in Helsinki, Finland and Los Angeles, USA. She has also been seen as Suzel (L'amico Fritz), Miss Wordsworth (Albert Herring) and Fiordiligi (Cosí fan tutte). She completed her A diploma exam at the Sibelius Academy in December 2021.
In January 2023 competed as a semi-finalist in the Lappeenranta National Singing Competition and in the summer of 2022 she was a finalist in the Kangasniemi Singing Contest, with the Kuopio Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Mikko Franck. both in Finland. Tähtinen has also sung as a soloist with the Sinfonia Lahti and the Sibelius Academy Symphony Orchestra.
